Birmingham have loaned in Michael Morrison, from Charlton, on a two month emergency loan. It will end on the 31st December.

Blues lack quality at centre back and it looks like Morrison will come straight into the team to play Wolves this weekend. Paul Robinson has been criticised for his advancing years recently and this could well be why Rowett has acted in bringing in someone straight away.

Rowett has trained with Blues for two days now and it seems it has not taken long for him to realise that there is a big problem at the back. He has a reputation for making his teams difficult to beat and it is fantastic to see him starting from the back.

Blues do have funds availible to improve the squad, the new manager has been assured he will be able to make his mark on the club. This is hugely down to Panos Pavlakis wrestling funds away from BIHL over the previous months.

Morrison has fallen out of favor at Charlton despite helping them to a previous League One title and a 9th placed finish in their return to the Championship. He will now hope to do well and may even want a permanent move to Birmingham.
