Birmingham City have announced they have a new supplier of sports drinks for the next two years.

The club have entered into an agreement with iPro Sport to supply and meet all their hydration needs for the players during the season and training.

Ian Dutton, head of commercial at Blues said on bcfc.com

We are delighted to have confirmed this fantastic partnership with iPro Sport. As a club it is imperative that we align ourselves with credible and responsible brands, and iPro Sport can certainly put themselves on that pedestal.

iPro had this comment to make on the deal

We want to help the club move forward by supplying an isotonic drink that we genuinely believe is better than the competition, and we know the players will notice the difference on the pitch!

This hydration partnership is probably saving Birmingham money in terms of what they were currently paying for energy drinks for the players. A common practice at most clubs. So in terms of cash it is a positive move for the club.

In terms of how much a sports drink will make a huge impact on the playing side of things, there are larger things at play with Birmingham. The upturn of form is most likely more down to a change of management.

Try one, let us know how it tastes, I haven’t had one before..
