Birmingham In Four Team Battle For Premier League Starlet

|

We are one of four teams interested in signing Stoke City forward Jordan Greenidge, according to Football Insider reporter Richard Parks.

The 18-year old’s contract with the Potters expires at the end of June, and he will be able to leave on a free transfer.

It is believed that West Ham, Watford and Fulham are also pursuing the striker, with the Hammers said to be in pole position to land the teenager.

A source close to the player told Football Insider that Greenidge’s agent has “opened talks” with the Premier League club, but he will also hold discussions with other teams in the top flight and the Championship.

The forward has spent two years at the Bet365 stadium after joining from Reading in 2016. This campaign he has scored 11 goals in 16 Under 18 Premier League matches and has also featured for Stoke’s Under 23 side in Premier League 2.

He is no doubt a promising talent, but whether we can beat others to his signature, we’ll have to wait and see.
