Birmingham City’s second home game of the season have been brought forward a day to Friday 21 August; 7:45 pm. The fixture is to be shown on Sky Sports.

Paul Clement will be taking on Birmingham City, as Derby manager, for the first time since taking charge of the Rams. Steve McClaren was relived of his duties after failing to take his team into the Premier League last season.

The last time these two met was at Pride Park towards the end of last season where Birmingham managed 2 late goals to leave a very bitter taste in the mouth of the home fans.

Derby will boast the likes of Chris Martin and Will Hughes when they come to St Andrews, but there is no guarantee it will be a happy visit for them, despite most likely being named favorites by the bookies.

Meanwhile Birmingham returned to preseason training today, putting the team through a fitness workout in the gym this morning before doing bleep tests in the afternoon.
