Birmingham Have Option To Recall Winger From Loan Spell In January

|

Greg Stewart has joined Kilmarnock on loan for the rest of the season, the club have officially confirmed. However, the club do have an option to recall him in January.

The Scot’s contract expires next season, and with it unlikely to be renewed, his stay at St Andrew’s will probably come to an end next summer.

Stewart also played in Scotland with Aberdeen last season, and it means he will have spent two of his three years at the club out on loan.

Garry Monk decided not to make him part of the first team setup on his return from the Dons earlier this summer, and he has been playing in the Under 18s awaiting a move away from the club.

There was talk that he would join another loanee Nicolai Brock-Madsen at St Mirren, but he has decided to sign for Killie instead.

The club bought the winger from Dundee for just £500,000 in 2016 so we will only make a small loss on his departure if he leaves at the end of the season.
