Peter Pannu has severed all management ties with the UK operations of Birmingham City after resigning from the Clubs board and the Clubs UK registered PLC board.

Birmingham confirmed the news yesterday but obviously were still aggrieved by Pannu’s comments in the past few weeks to release any length of gratitude to Pannu as businesses usually do.

Pannu has recently endured dwindling influence over the club as internal struggles go on with the clubs parent company BIHL, based in Hong Kong. It could be the case that he has resigned ahead of the board directors selection later this year.

It is likely he would have been removed from his UK positions anyway. However, he is still CEO and executive director at BIHL in Hong Kong, but for how long? not very by the looks of it.

There has been plenty of change at Birmingham since towards the end of last season. Yeung has been trying to force a sale behind the scenes, but Panos Pavlakis has been successfully making good decisions in the UK.

Pannu leaving, even if it is just from UK operations comes as good news. He has been causing unrest in the public eye over the past few weeks and never enjoyed a smooth relationship with the fans.
