Birmingham Could Lose Lingard

Birmingham`s hopes of keeping Jesse Lingard for the season could be in danger. David Moyes has revealed that his is looking at recalling some players that are out on loan.


Lingard had been brilliant for Blues and losing him would be a big blow for Lee Clark`s side. Moyes revealed he is looking at some of his own loanee`s instead of new signings this January.


David Moyes – ‘They are the ones who are part of the club and have been in the system so we are certainly keeping our eyes on all the boys who have been out on loan and hoping that they might be able to come back and help us if we need it in January as well.’


I can`t really see the logic in Moyes` interview if I`m honest. Who does recalling these young players really serve? I think it only purports to serve his personal image with the united fans. He wants to be seen to be doing something positive.


Is Lingard going to return to united and push them into a title challenge? No he is not, personally I doubt he would get the game time required to give him the confidence to play his best football.


At Birmingham Lingard is very much the main man in the middle of that park, a role he is growing into with every performance.
