Birmingham Confirm Extension To Under 23 Starlet’s Loan Deal

|

The club have confirmed that Ronan Hale has extended his loan spell at Derry City until November.

The 19-year-old originally joined the League of Ireland outfit in January and was due to return to us at the end of the month, but he will now come back once Derry’s season ends.

Hale has been in good form since his return to Ireland. The forward has managed seven goals in 20 appearances so far, three of which came on his home debut in a 5-0 win against Limerick back in March.

The teenager’s grandfather is a club legend at Derry, and one of the other major reasons for his decision to return home was due to the birth of his daughter.

In an interview with Irish News back in February, Hale revealed that he could have moved to a few non-league clubs but his homesickness meant a move to Derry made sense for all parties.

Whether we will see the striker in a Blues shirt in the future, we will have to wait and see.
