Just a day after Demarai Gray was allowed to join Leicester City, another Birmingham City winger, this time David Cotterill, has been linked with a move away from the club.

According to the Daily Mail online, former Blues boss Chris Hughton wants to bring Cotterill to replace the injured Solly March.

The Mail are also reporting that the Welsh international has a £1 million buy out clause in his contract and should the Seagulls meet that clause then they would be in a very strong position to sign him.

If a deal went through, Birmingham would only have two senior wingers left at the club in the shape of Jacques Maghoma and Viv Solomon-Otabor.

Following their fantastic start to the season, Brighton have somewhat taken a hit in previous weeks and they now sit in fourth spot and Hughton is desperate to bring in at least two new players, one of them being Cotterill.

Personally I would hate to see Cotterill leave because he is one of the best deliverers of the ball outside the top flight and I think we would struggle even more without him.

Blues fans, what do you make of this rumour? Do you think it is something that we should be worrying about? Or is it just a load of rubbish? Let us know in the comment section down below!
