Harry Redknapp is due to have talks with Birmingham City representatives over the coming days after saving the club from relegation to League One.

The 70 year-old led Blues to two wins from his three games in charge – as many as his predecessor managed in four months.

Now he could be set to stay at the club on a more permanent basis as either the manager or Director of Football.

Redknapp had already admitted that he would talk to the club and would consider staying if he is given assurances of financial backing in the transfer market. Ultimately, he wants to mount a play off push next season.

Vital Birmingham understands that Panos Pavlakis and other club representatives will seek informal talks with the former Spurs manager this week.

Redknapp is already a hugely popular figure with the fans at St. Andrews.
