Out of favour Crystal Palace midfielder, and former Birmingham City youth academy product, Jordon Mutch, has attracted interest from Reading and Blues, report the Croydon Advertiser.

The 25 year-old made 36 appearances for Blues before being sold to Cardiff City in a desperate attempt to raise funds in 2014. Since leaving St. Andrews, Mutch has made 110 appearances for three clubs – Cardiff, QPR and Palace.

Unlike Gianfranco Zola and Blues, Reading manager Jaap Stam confirmed his interest in the player a month ago but is yet to make a move for the player. Zola is reportedly interested also.

  • I hope its true and it comes off. If we can get Gards as well we would have a real threat from the middle of the pitch as both are capable of scoring goals and creating for others. Both are industrious solid players and not easily dominated, so lets go get our boys back in Blue.

  • I fort Zola was taking us forwards but so far we are linked with 2 ex players all a bit backwards if you ask me.
