Gary Rowett has announced a 23 man squad to go and partake in the pre-season training camp, being help in Marbella, Spain. The trip will last for 6 days and see the players train up to 3 times a day.

Birmingham are being put through their paces during this pre-season as Gary Rowett wants to make the most of his first full season at the helm.

Goalkeepers: Tomasz Kuszczak, Adam Legzdins,

Defenders: Paul Caddis, Neal Eardley, Jonathan Grounds, Mitch Hancox, Jonathan Spector, Michael Morrison, Paul Robinson, Wes Harding,

Midfeilders: Stephen Gleeson, David Davis, Reece Brown, Charlee Adams, David Cotterill, Jacques Maghoma, Koby Arthur, Demarai Gray, Andrew Shinnie,

Strikers/Forwards: Lee Novak, Wes Thomas, Alex Jones, Clayton Donaldson.

Wes Harding is an interesting inclusion at the back, the powerful young centre back will have his chance to be included in the first team squad and possibly even play a part in pre-season games. Mitch Hancox will also be eager to try and force his way into Gary Rowett’s plans.

Equally we see Reece Brown, Charlee Adams and Koby Arthur in the midfielder area. All three youngsters will be eager to show Rowett they have what it takes to involved come the start of the season.

Brown and Arthur have of course long been tipped to be involved with the first team but are yet to enjoy runs in the team since Rowett took over.

Alex Jones, new signing from West Brom over the summer, will be hoping to remind Blues fans that he is here to take a crack at Championship football. His joining the club has largely not been seen as a significant first team player, but all that could change over pre-season.

Is there anyone you would have taken, that Rowett has not?
