Blues manager Gianfranco Zola has confirmed that Rene Krhin will not be signing for the club. In his pre-Nottingham Forest press conference, Zola said- ‘If someone is not sure, you have to move on’.

The Granada midfielder was at St. Andrews last weekend watching Blues’ draw with Newcastle. He returned to Spain this week pondering over a move to Birmingham.

However, Zola took the decision out of his hands by pulling the plug on the deal after losing patience with waiting for the Slovenian to make a decision.

Elsewhere, Diego Fabbrini may be heading for the exit door. Despite being rated by Zola, the Italian playmaker wants assurances of more game time which Zola cannot give. It’s likely that Blues will listen to offers for the 26-year-old.

Zola is confident of adding more players to the squad by the end of the transfer window but is keeping his cards close to his chest.
