Birmingham City manager Garry Monk is keeping a close eye on Coventry City striker Marc McNulty.

Monk is looking to bolster his attacking options for next season and McNulty has been watched a ‘handful of times’ by the club’s scouting team, a source close to the club has confirmed.

The 25-year-old is Coventry’s top scorer this season with 18 goals from 34 appearances since signing from Sheffield United in the summer.

Born in Edinburgh, McNulty started his professional career at Livingston before a move to Bramall Lane in 2014.

Although Blues are still in danger of relegation, Monk is keeping tabs on a number of potential targets. Whether he will remain in charge at St. Andrews in the event of relegation remains to be seen.
