Birmingham City face competition from Fulham for the signature of loanee Lukas Jutkiewicz, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 27 year-old has scored six goals during his loan spell from Burnley and had agreed a deal in principle to sign for the club permanently before Gary Rowett was sacked last week.

Vital Blues understands that Gianfranco Zola is keen on pursuing the signing of Jutkiewicz and wishes to add another striker to bolster his striking options.

A fee, thought to be around  £750,000, has been agreed between Blues and Burnley but no formalities have been completed and no deal has been signed.

Fulham are looking to sign a striker themselves and the Mirror report that they may try to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding Rowett’s departure.
