Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett has once again reiterated his desire to bring in another striker to the club.

During his pre-match press conference ahead of the Derby County game, the former Burton Albion boss told the Birmingham Mail: ‘We are looking again to strengthen.

‘We are looking to bring another in, hopefully soon.’

However, after the Daily Record suggested that Blues were in for Arsenal wonderkid Gedion Zelalem, Rowett was quick to say that the club are ‘categorically’ not in for the youngster.

The news that the club are still looking to add to the squad will please most fans but with limited availability left in the market, fans will also be wondering who will be next through the door.

Other than Zelalem, not many names have been linked with the club over the past week or so, which may be a cause for concern but then again it may not be.

With only Clayton Donaldson and Wes Thomas for senior strikers, Rowett will be hoping that he can add someone fairly quickly in case either or both sustain an injury.

Blues fans, what do you make of Rowetts comments? Are you happy that the club are still active in the transfer market? Who would you like to see come in? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
