Birmingham City have confirmed the loan signing of Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty with the deal set to run until the end of the season.

Two days ago, the Birmingham Mail revealed that Gary Rowett was interested in the Canaries striker but then it was believed that the Northern Ireland international would be making the move to Blues` play-off rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

However, in a late surge to get the deal over the line, Rowett has got his man with Lafferty set to link up with his new team mates for the first time after the international break.

The 28-year-old striker has only made three appearances all season for the struggling Premier League side and managed Alex Neil has allowed the forward to head to St.Andrews in order to help Blues push for promotion.

Wherever the six foot four inch striker has gone he has scored goals, especially on the international stage, and I think he could be the man to stop our poor run of goal scoring of late which has seen us find the back of the net just four times in the last eight games.

If David Cotterill can continue to deliver crosses like he has been in recent weeks then there is no doubt that Lafferty will score goals for Rowett`s side so here`s hoping Blues fans!
