Dominic Bernard and Jake Weaver will be frequenting the Wast Hills turf for at least another year.

The promising pair have impressed the hierarchy sufficiently to earn new contracts, and with Garry Monk’s penchant for blooding youth, it may not be long before the 21-year olds are knocking on the door of the First Team dressing room.

Bernard, a left-back who is equally comfortable at centre-back, has been part of the professional ranks at Blues since 2015. Having fought back admirably from a long-term Achilles injury, he returned to the Development Squad in November 2017 and recently took on its captaincy after Wes Harding’s ascent to the First Team.

Having been at Blues since the tender age of 12, Jake Weaver has also had an important role in the Development Squad. The young Silhillian Goalkeeper has shared playing time with Connal Trueman this term and will enter his third professional season with the club come August.
