Birmingham Chasing Bolton Forward

Lee Clark is understood to be about to move to Bolton forward Rob Hall, in a move that would see him return to St Andrews.

Hall was initially on loan with Birmingham from West Ham and had a largely successful spell.

Birmingham are not short of numbers up front with Donaldson, Thomas, Novak and Johnstone. However, Hall may be coming into support the front three and play out wide. This may push young Demarai Gray down the order or even take Novak out of the wide picture in exchange for courter attacking pace.

Transfers move quickly, as of yet there is no word from Bolton or Birmingham and it could be unlikely he will sign in time to play tomorrow.

Blues still have room in the budget to pay wages for other players after the heavy offloading they did with Chris Burke and Nikola Zigic.

Rob Hall made 11 appearances whilst on loan at Birmingham City.
