Garry Monk reacted to the announcement of the club’s fixtures for next season on his Twitter account yesterday.
Our manager seems to be keen to get the new campaign underway, and was particularly pleased that we will be starting with a home game:

Monk has a lot of work to do between now and August 4th when we kick off the season against Norwich.
I am hoping to see a number of players coming in to strengthen the side in the next six weeks, as we look to improve on a very disappointing campaign.
Getting off to a good start is always important to build momentum, and as the boss says, the first fixture being at St Andrew’s is a massive positive.
The crowd should be in great voice for the game, greatly anticipating a season which should be full of promise. Hopefully, we get the right signings to build on the results that Monk managed at the end of the last campaign.
