Birmingham City’s accounts have revealed that the club is in need of some investment in order to keep the club going, to the tune of £4.4 million.

BIHL are not concerned with the situation as they have plans to feed the club with the necessary money to help it operate.

Birmingham have slipped into financial danger over recent years as they have struggled to adapt to life outside of the Premier League and without the investment of their jailed chairman.

In addition to the positive news coming from the parent company, the Football League also confirmed this week that they are happy with the finances at Birmingham by not imposing any transfer restrictions on the club.

It is evident at this moment in time that the club are going to be backed in terms of transfers and achieving on the field success. No the club aren’t going to go around splashing cash but there is movement in order to obtain a workable squad for Rowett.

BIHL look set to want to stablise the club in the short term in order to improve it’s value. It would seem that whilst that goes on, in the background, there will be a battle between Yeung and Pannu and the other owners as to when the club, and if, it will be sold.
