Benitez Gets Praise From The Boss

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has been singing the praises of striker Christian Benitez and believes that the player can be one of the big names at the club after looking at the start he has made in English football.

The 23 year old has been with Blues since summer and has made nine appearances, he has yet to find the net, but has made a major contribution to the side`s performances.

McLeish said: ‘Judging on that performance on Saturday, Benitez looks as if he’s going to be a star,

‘Not only does he create opportunities for himself, he creates for others and he certainly looks as if he’ll take a bit of watching from the centre-halves he is going to face.’
