‘Average keeper on big money’ – Fans React To News Of Possible Birmingham Departure

|

Leeds are looking to sign David Stockdale on loan for the rest of the season with an option of a permanent deal, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The Birmingham Mail reported that our no.13 was subject of an offer earlier this month, which we rejected, but it looks as though the Whites have changed tack.

Fans on Twitter would be happy to see the 32-year-old leave St Andrews:

Verdict:

The Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay believes that a loan deal would see Leeds paying Stockdale’s wages, which would certainly make sense for us.

However, it is believed that we are looking to offload the keeper on a permanent deal and wouldn’t be interested in letting the player leave on loan.

If we could perhaps ask for a compulsory purchase option at the end of the season then maybe it is something worth considering. The main aim is believed to be getting Stockdale’s salary off the wage bill so the club may look at such a deal.
