Leeds are looking to sign David Stockdale on loan for the rest of the season with an option of a permanent deal, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The Birmingham Mail reported that our no.13 was subject of an offer earlier this month, which we rejected, but it looks as though the Whites have changed tack.
Fans on Twitter would be happy to see the 32-year-old leave St Andrews:
Leeds fans begging for stockdale please I’ll drive him up there myself ???????? #bcfc

You don’t want him honestly he wasn’t good considering how he was at Brighton

No doubting his ability. At times he can be the difference. He makes the odd mistake and with his sizeable wage, it’s best for us that he leaves.

Wouldn’t mind Gunn at Blues, surely has another loan spell within the championship again?

Wasn’t Stocky’s fault last season really, good keeper on his day just needs to loose abit of timber

Wasn’t Stockdale fault? Did you see the howler against Sheffield United & Brentford conceding 5. He’s literally NOTHING special. Average keeper on big money.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay believes that a loan deal would see Leeds paying Stockdale’s wages, which would certainly make sense for us.
However, it is believed that we are looking to offload the keeper on a permanent deal and wouldn’t be interested in letting the player leave on loan.
If we could perhaps ask for a compulsory purchase option at the end of the season then maybe it is something worth considering. The main aim is believed to be getting Stockdale’s salary off the wage bill so the club may look at such a deal.
