He was certainly one of the bright sparks in the game.
Even if he did sort of cost us all three points for his ‘foul’ early in the second half, if he could have just kept his hands to himself and not give the referee a decision to make we might have got away with it.
But he’s a defender, I suppose his job first and foremost is to keep the ball out of the net at the other end, and boy did he do that. Harlee Dean was given the Man of the Match award from Sky Sports for his efforts against the Lions and it’s easy to see why.
Taking a look at his statistics from the game, it’s easy to see why, as he won 10 aerial duels, which was the second most of anyone on the pitch that night and was in general a bit of a nuisance as he kept Millwall at bay, with the club account describing the Blues captain as ‘solid’.
Is Harlee Dean our most important player?
Yes
No
And fans were more than happy to pile the praise on the skipper, as they commented on his Man of the Match award and his overall display, although there were some who felt that the award should have gone elsewhere.
Peds is livid!😂

Imperative you don’t lose when playing poorly. 12 unbeaten. Onto the next. Harlee Dean was an absolute wall at the back. Alot of shaky performances, definitely take a point after that performance. #bcfc

Just imagine what the praise would have been like if he didn’t cost us the winner?
He did nothing wrong he cost us nothing. The extremely bad ref cost us everything. What a bull $hite post.
