Ambrose Leaves Blues, Probably For Good

Blues midfielder Darren Ambrose has completed his loan move to Greek Super League side Apollon Smyrni.

Ambrose joined Blues in the summer of 2012 but has made just 10 first-team appearances; he joins the Greek outfit on loan until the end of the season with a view to joining them permanently when his current contract with City expires in the summer.

Manager Lee Clark told the club’s official website: ‘Darren is a talented footballer but for whatever reason since he’s come to Birmingham it hasn’t happened for him. He’s found it more and more difficult.

‘Maybe he has lost a bit of confidence. I think the fresh start for him and his family will prove to be productive. As a club and as me as the manager I wish him well.’
