Darren Ambrose becomes Birmingham City`s fourth signing in five days after he made the move from Crystal Palace today.
The midfielder was still under contract at Palace but the two clubs sorted out a deal that could cost City somewhere in the region of £1million, speculation has it.
Peter Lovenkrands, David Lucas and Hayden Mullins already arrived at the club this week and now 28 year old Ambrose has signed a two year deal with the option of another twelve months added.
The new boy told Birmingham’s official website: ‘I’m absolutely delighted and buzzing at the moment. I can’t wait to get going.
‘It’s been a hectic few days to get it done but this a positive move for myself at this point in my career and I can’t wait.
‘Hopefully we can improve as a team on last year (defeat in the npower Championship play-off semi-finals) and go one better.’
Ambrose started his career with Ipswich before moving onto Newcastle and Charlton before going to Selhurst Park in 2009.
