Looks like Aitor Karanka is finally starting to implant his methods onto the club.
And that includes a clear out of the backroom staff, you’d assume in anticipation of him bringing in people that he’s more comfortable with and has worked with in the past, something that I have hinted at it in the past.
The club announced on Tuesday that James Beattie, Darryl Flahavan and Sean Rush have all left their respective roles within the club, although we shouldn’t really be surprised by the news about Beattie given how much talk there was about him making the move to Sheffield Wednesday a few months back.
How much will Blues spend in this window?
More than £15m
£15m or less
Who the new members of the backroom staff will be and what they’ll bring we’ll just have to wait and see, but in the meantime these Blues fans all took to social media to wish the departing men the best in their new ventures, thanking them for all they have done for the club.
Wish all of them the best in the future. All played a key part in keeping us up under Monk and the following season afterwards with producing a 20 goal season striker and a fit squad which lasted 90 minutes in most games. New era begins though and Karanka can get his own men in.

Our fitness and intensity after these guys came in won us loads of points, we were levels ahead in fitness. These guys will be massively missed, never forget @Smrush68Sean getting sent off either 😅

Gutted about Sean Rush, a proper football guy who knew what the club was about. Good luck @Smrush68Sean 💙

I am disappointed to see Sean Rush go, did a very good job for the club. Aitor will want his own team In though so that will mean that a few need to be moved on.

What about you? Will you miss seeing these men around the club?
