Q: What was the first team you played for and were they any good? A: Kingshurst Sporting and we were always near the top of the league.

Q: Do you have a nickname? If so, what is it?
A: Yes, it`s Smudger.

I have no idea why, you can never predict these footballers can you?!

Q: How were you spotted by Blues?
A: Playing for my local team.

A brilliant network of scouts always seems to find talent from all clubs and backgrounds. A real asset to have at the club.

Q: How long have you been at the club?
A: Five years.

Signed him young meaning he knows the ethos around the club, another positive of the scouting system.

Q: Who has been the biggest influence on you since joining the club?
A: Andy Mulliner (Blues` former Academy goalkeeping coach).

Q: What are your strengths as a player?
A: My distribution and dealing with crosses.

For a relatively small chap, his leap is incredible. A real asset to have from a ‘keeper.

Q: If you could improve one part of your game what would it be?
A: My decision making.

This comes with game time, so not too worried that this is a weakness.

Q: How much interaction do you have with the first team?
A: I have trained with them a few times in the last couple of years.

Pleased that the youngsters get a taste of that, so that they can look to the future and work hard.

Q: Tell us something about you we wouldn`t know?
A: I played at Wembley Stadium with Solihull District.

Q: What is your favourite pre-match meal?
A: Chicken and tomato pasta.

Healthy, so very well advised by the Blues’ nutritionists!

Q: Who is the most skilful player you have played with?
A: Wes McDonald.

Wes is often mentioned by fellow team mates so one to watch out for, definitely!!
