Birmingham City will have to pay ?10m if they are to land Torino midfielder Afriyie Acquah.

Reports in Italy suggest that the Serie A side have a replacement lined up in the shape of Stoke City’s Giannelli Imbula.

However, for that move to materialise, Acquah would need to leave and Blues need to bump up their offer.

They have failed to meet Torino’s demands so far and while that is the case, Imbula’s potential transfer to Italy is blocked.

  • Would be hugely surprised now if the Club meets the asking price. All too often now our hopes have been raised, any talks of permanent signings seem to have gone out of the window and all we appear to be interested in doing is bringing in loan signings. Not the way to build for the future, false hopes have been raised over the Summer,it would appear TTA wanted to sell season tickets and not shape a squad that could challenge maybe next year.
It looks like new owners and a new manager will have to invest heavily when this club is sold.Of course our incredible fans will cheer on more in hope than expectation this season.Hope I have to eat my words.

  • Well Harry as said he as touched next to nothing of his transfer kitty , stop messing about Blues, £10 million he looks what we have been waiting for get him quick.
