A deal to bring Torino midfielder Afriyie Acquah to Birmingham City looks to be fading away, according to reports in the Italian media.
They say that injury problems for the Serie A club mean that they have no choice but to keep the midfielder.
The 25-year-old was all set to move to St. Andrew’s in a club record ?9m move.
There could still be light at the end of the tunnel for Blues but that could well depend on whether Torino sign a replacement for Acquah – a deal to bring Godred Donsah is still up in the air.
