The Academy at Birmingham City have introduced a new way to analyse their games.
‘The provision of video feedback is being improved this season for the players and coaches of the Youth Development & Professional Development Phases,’ states the Birmingham City academy website. (www.bcfcacademy.com)
It goes on to explain that, ‘players will now have access to a safe and secure online platform called ‘Replay Analysis’.’
In terms of the benefits to analysis, it enables players to see where they can improve and it is vital in gaining positional awareness.
‘The system allows for an increased interaction between analysts, coaches and players through a ‘comments’ section.’
Interaction between players and coaches means a better understanding of the systems played at the club but also allows a quick way to sort out problems based on watching the replay.
Access to this site will be available from U12’s to U18’s. As a club, it is proving how much Birmingham City are putting into youth development. It is brilliant to see.
