It’s been the topic of much discussion this week.
And in fairness, it’s been the topic of a lot of discussion on this site in particular for the whole summer, so at least we can say we’re ahead of the trend as it were.
After Lee Camp’s disastrous mistake on Tuesday night against Wigan though, it looks as if the debate has kicked into high gear. The goalkeeping situation at St Andrew’s is set to be a rather contentious one going forward. The fact that it’s even starting to get discussion in the more mainstream media rather than just on sites like this shows that it’s starting to become a real hot-button issue in B9.
So when journalist Brian Dick posed the question on Twitter who should be between the stick for the Blues tomorrow night against Middlesbrough, it produced some interesting responses.
All three Brian might keep a clean sheet ????????

Absolutely none of them. Sounds like the only decent keeper we’ve got is Jeacock and he’s not old enough to be up that late.

Let’s be honest if it’s not Stockdale then real questions need to be asked

I actually think he has been poor for the last 3 games not just 2 as I think he could’ve done better with the preston goal too !! It won’t hurt to try Stocky, who knows he might prove his doubters wrong ?

I would give it Ramos risky but what’s the point having him on loan from Real Madrid who rated him highly to just play u23 games for the season. Think Camp needs to be taken out regardless as for over 12 months no one has pushed him for that spot at all

Let’s just stick Ramos in goal, I don’t mind keepers making mistakes if they are young and inexperienced cuz they tend to learn from those mistakes, camp with his experience shouldn’t be making those mistakes time after time.

Anyone except Camp. Absolute joke of a keeper.

Not poppadom hands that’s for sure

As I’ve noted before, it’s not as if the club is short of options when it comes to the goalkeeper department, so there are plenty who are in contention to take the number one spot from here until the end of the season. The question is, will Pep Clotet make the right decision?
