A Yellow Card Premier League Top 20

With former England man Gareth Barry making his 600th Premier League appearance in Saturday’s victory for Everton over Middlesbrough, and him picking up his…113th yellow card in the top flight, Talksport have done the legwork on the top 20 most yellow carded players since the 1992 rebrand.

With Barry confirming he wanted to try and play on until he was 40, and with him now sitting third in the overall Premier League appearance table – 9 games behind Frank Lampard and 32 games behind Ryan Giggs, Barry does top the yellow card table already across his career with Aston Villa, Manchester City and Everton.

Looking at the table their are some very expected names in the top 20, but not necessarily in the order you would expect – certainly not in the order I expected.

And it must be said, it does appear Barry’s potential record (especially if he does play on for as long as he hopes at the moment) is in no danger of being broken in the near future.

Looking back over the last 24 years, here are the numbers.
