Birmingham City enter the international break in fine form after a sequence of just one defeat in the last six Championship matches.

Garry Monk’s side played out a stunning 3-3 draw with Hull City at the weekend, showing their resilience after previously suffering a 3-1 defeat against promotion-chasing Derby County.

The Rams then hosted Birmingham’s arch-rivals Aston Villa at the weekend, suffering a 3-0 defeat, but one Derby supporter has attracted fury from his Villa counterparts with a comparison between the two clubs on social media.

According to the supporter, Birmingham didn’t stop singing all game despite suffering a 3-1 defeat – while he suggested Aston Villa fans, despite securing a comfortable win, were as quiet as a library – which certainly didn’t go down too well.

Birmingham fans will certainly enjoy seeing the fury shown by rattled Villa supporters in a number of responses to the tweet and we have gathered some of the best reactions below.

  • typical scum win a game and their world beaters , managers the best thing etc etc lose a couple of games they will cry for his head and sack him

  • Blues’ attendance has risen nearly 25% in 5 years, while Villa’s had dropped over 15% in the same time, we are soon going to overtake you lot at the library.
