The League Cup is always a competition that we look back on with fond memories after the 2011 triumph, but Garry Monk is likely to make a number of changes for the first round clash against Reading this evening.

With three games in just six days, squad rotation is likely to be the order of the day, and the manager likely has one eye on the Swansea clash on Friday night:

Here are what a few supporters on Twitter are predicting for the tie at the Madejski Stadium:

One fan forgot that there is now no extra time in the rounds up until the semi-final:

I’m expecting to see a number of new signings being given their first starts by Monk. Lee Camp has already been confirmed as starting while Omar Bogle, Gary Gardner and Connor Mahoney are also likely to feature.

A win after the disappointment of the weekend would certainly boost confidence ahead of the Swans’ visit to St Andrew’s.

  • Only one issue for me is how well Camp plays.Hopefully impressive but other than that I fear for this uncalled for dodgy position in the team. Make no mistake,we are teetering on a situation where crucial issues are at stake. Play Trueman against Swansea and we risk another ‘all at sea’ performance, and if Camp doesn’t step up tonight -the nightmare rolls on. Both,IMO,come nowhere near Stockdale or Kusczak.

  • This goalkeeping position could well have long term damage.Whatever has gone on between Monk and Stockwell must be revisited as our club is fodder now whoever we play with such sub standard Championship players in Camp and Trueman. They May be decent but NOT in this division.
